70-year-old Dragoslav and his two
mentally retarded grown-up children are the only remaining inhabitants
of a village that was destroyed and burned down during the war.
The family is living of what they are growing in their garden. Besides
this, they own several goats and chickens. Because their own house is
destroyed, they are living in the abandoned run-down house of their
neighbour without electricity and water.
During our visit in autumn 2006, Dragoslav expressed the wish to get a
motor saw for cutting firewood. We bought the saw and our colleagues
from Golub were introducing him in how to handle and maintain it.
